In the detail pane, c lick the options menu and select Copy . A message that the items have been added to the clipboard appears at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder (in this or another project) where you want to put the items. Click Paste in the message displayed.

Editing vs. Copyediting. Thank you for sending in your pet peeves, which are legion!

Don’t proof for every type of mistake at once—do one paper service com proof for spelling, another for missing/additional spaces, consistency of word usage, font sizes, etc. Keep a list of your most common errors (or of the writers you are proofing) and proof for those on separate “trips.” If you are editing within Word, use the “track changes” or “mark changes” function to make your comments apparent to other reviewers (additions and deletions can be set to appear in different colors). Print it out and read it.

Read down columns in a table, even if you’re supposed to read across the table to use the information.

Proofreaders confirm that photos, images and graphs are correctly identified and placed correctly to support the text.

Change Document, Link, or Folder Name and Description. When you select a document, link, or folder, the detail pane appears. To change the name or description, simply click the name or in the description box within the detail pane.

A pane will appear on the right side of the document.

Other people use it to describe what a copy editor does.

Copy editing and proofreading have one thing in common: the set of proofreaders’ marks that indicate deletion, paragraph, transposition, comma, capitalize, italics, and so on, which are needed and recognized by both.
